We are currently seeking an experienced sales executive to join the amenity sales department.

Key responsibilities

To include:

• Maintaining and developing relationships with existing and prospective customers in person and via telephone calls and emails

• It is anticipated that approximately 75% of the week will be based at Head Office with key tasks including telephone sales, replying to quotes, securing orders, liaising with buyers and production teams. 25% of the week based in outside of the office building new customer relationships and creating new leads

• Hosting customers at Wyevale Nurseries

• Negotiating the terms of orders/contracts to include price, delivery and specifications and liaise with Wyevale Nurseries buyers and production teams

• Representing Wyevale Nurseries at trade exhibitions and events

• Gathering market and customer information

• Creating proposal documents, presentations, tender documents as and when required

Key skills

The successful candidate will ideally possess the following key skills:

• Good plant knowledge (trees, shrubs, herbaceous, transplants)

• Proven track record of sales and account management

• Amenity/landscape industry experience

• Excellent communication skills

• Strong negotiating skills

• A good level of IT skills

• Engaging telephone manner

Salary - depending on experience
