We’re supplying 660 trees for sacred spaces

We’re delighted to announce that we have recently (July, 2017) been chosen to supply 660 bee-friendly trees to the Trees for Sacred Spaces initiative.

We have been picked by The Conservation Foundation to provide the trees to be planted in London church yards later on in the year.
 


We’re getting our running shoes on for charity

We have pledged to undertake this year’s Race for Life, which is taking place in Hereford on Sunday, July 9.

Many of our female staff members have kindly signed up to this fantastic event, raising money for Cancer Research UK. This charity is entirely funded by the public and is the world’s leading charity dedicated to preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer.


Transplants Division hosts NFU Open Day

Staff at our Division in Hereford hosted a National Farmers Union (NFU) Open Day last Thursday (June 29, 2017) inviting members to visit the nursery and gain an insight into the growing process.

NFU Policy Adviser, Clare Greener, and The Farmer journalist, Ian Howie, joined the tour, as well as more than 30 attendees from Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Gloucestershire.
 


Chris is off to the IPPS European Conference

One of our Management Trainees will this month (July, 2017) be attending the 2017 IPPS European Region Annual Conference as part of the 6 Packer Award.

Twenty-three-year-old Chris King has been selected as one of 10 students/young horticulturists to be sponsored to attend the conference in Alphen en Rijn, Netherlands from July 10 until 14.
 


We scooped six awards at HTA Plant Show

We’re celebrating this week (June 21, 2017) after winning three silver awards and three bronze awards for six of our new plants at the Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) National Plant Show.

We won silver awards for our Phormium ‘Blondie’, Morus ‘Mojo Berry’ and Alstroemeria ‘Little Miss Zoe’ and bronze awards for Edelweiss ‘Blossom of Snow’, Agapanthus ‘His Majesty’ and Hydrangea ‘L.A. Dreamin’.
