From the little acorns Wyevale Nurseries sources…

We have this month (November, 2015) collected more than a tonne of acorns from some renowned mature oak trees in the area so they can be planted for future generations to enjoy.

We collected the nuts from Dymock, where mature oaks planted more than 100 years ago are much sought after as a seed source, and will be growing them on in the spring for people to re-plant.
 


Ben wins IPPS International Exchange Award

OUR PRODUCT Development Co-ordinator Ben Gregory has won the International Plant Propagators Society (IPPS) International Exchange Award.

The 23-year-old is currently in America as part of the award win joining the IPPS International Tour visiting some of the most innovative nurseries and research stations in the US.
 


Our new ‘Select’ tree range

We recently unveiled a new tree range as a result of recent research and development.

We’ve selected and improved forms of standard tree ranges and now have new varieties, which are available as bare root, root balled or container grown, in commercial numbers available and have named them its ‘Select’ range. 
 


We’re rooting for ‘The Great British Hedge’

We have started an initiative called the ‘The Great British Hedge’ this month (September, 2015) to promote the benefits of the British hedge to the horticultural retail and amenity and landscaping sectors.


We’re a NATO ally

We are pleased to announce that we have recently become a supporter of the National Association of Tree Officers (NATO).
