On Friday 20th September, Steve Ashworth and Ray Jenkins were invited to the planting ceremony near Alcester, Warwickshire of the millionth tree to be planted in the `Heart of England Forest`.
The Forest is the brainchild of millionaire publisher and tree poet, Felix Dennis who lives locally. Since the start the project has planted more than 175ha of broadleaf forest and is the largest privately owned broadleaf forest in England, though with public access.

Wyevale Nurseries Transplant division has been the main supplier of young trees to the Forest and has now donated the iconic millionth tree; an English Oak was selected for the occasion.
