Four Oaks Trade Show
09 Sep 2011
A very successful Four Oaks Trade Show where the award for the 'Best Plant Introduction - Nursery Stock' was presented to us for Salvia Amistad (plant patent applied for NWP). It is a sensational Salvia with exquisite, dark purple, velvet flowers and an almost black calyx and it also benefits from being repeat flowering after trimming.

Trees to please!
11 Aug 2011
Our large range of 10 litre ornamental and fruiting trees are looking in fine fettle and ready to grace gardens. There is plenty of colour on show from the mellow yellow of Gleditsia Sunburst to the deep rich red foliage of the beautiful Prunus Royal Burgundy. The Malus varieties are dripping with attractive fruit next to the subtle silver of Sorbus aria Lutescens. The ever popular Liquidambar Worplesden are looking healthy and strong before they explode in the Autumn into flushes of orangy-yellows and purple
Abundance of Colour
26 Jul 2011
The Nursery is looking vibrant with swathes of herbaceous colour splashed liberally around the site. We are constantly seeking new dazzling plant varieties to offer you a greater palette and it is good to see these introductions performing well and rubbing shoulders on the beds with established old favourites.
Our longest serving member of staff is retiring this week after 46 years service!! It is inspiring that we have more than 30 staff members with more than 20 years experience which ensures our customers receive a wealth of knowledge and experience.
Great Autumn Colour
27 Oct 2010
What a fantastic show of Autumn colour this year on the nursery. The fine autumn colour of trees is influenced by the concentration of Anthocyanins. These are increased with bright sunny days and cool nights. We have had perfect conditions in Hereford and quite calm as well so the leaves are hanging on well. The attached image shows a variety we are offering for the first time Sorbus 'Olympic Flame'. What could be more apt, and we strongly recommend this variety for any customers wanting to plant now in preparation for 2012.
